Loch Ness Scale Sail, July 2nd 2011

We are a group of model boaters that are trying to raise as much as possible for the RNLI. We are going to sail our model boats the full length of Loch Ness, weather permitting, that’s nearly 23 miles! We are doing this for a great cause and hopefully have some fun along the way. We are being helped by the RNLI and the Sea Cadets, without whose help this would not be possible.

The boats are going to be three 1/12 scale Clyde Class Lifeboats each around 6ft long, and hopefully a different class by myself. They are currently under construction, have a look at the photos. I’ll be updating the pictures as the builds progress. The modellers are Neil Pritchard, Russell Procter, Mike Pendlebury and myself, Dave Forrester.

The project should be on the RNLI Official Website soon, I’ll post a link as soon as it’s up and running. We hope you can support our project and help the RNLI and the great work they do to help keep us safe.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
